Former Window Rock standout tabbed Offensive Player of the sport

Four former Window Rock Scouts standouts gained invaluable expertise in the 2015 Native All-Star Football recreation at Maverick Stadium on the campus of University of Texas-Arlington last week.

Running back/safety Tony Walker, quarterback/safety Latrell Kaye, fullback/middle linebacker Kobe Toadlena and large receiver/cornerback Chad Myron competed in the 13th annual occasion with high athletes chosen to the team.

A mix was held to test the players’ skills. At conclusion of the combine, a draft was held, where every athlete was both placed on the Red Hawks or Blue Eagles. At conclusion of the draft, every workforce had a week of observe previous to the sport.

Throughout the draft, Walker, Toadlena and Myron have been positioned on the Blue Eagles whereas the Red Hawks drafted Kaye.

The Red Hawks prevailed, taking a 43-30 victory over the Blue Eagles.

Utilizing his quickness and speed, all star football game Walker rushed for 215 yards on 15 carries. He bolted into the top zone for 2 touchdowns from forty five yards and 15 yards out. He did have one touchdown referred to as back, because of a penalty. For his excellent performance, Walker was chosen the Offensive Player of the sport for his staff. "It was an honor to compete in this prestigious all-star soccer recreation," Walker stated. "It was an excellent expertise to compete with the perfect players. It is a recreation I'll never forget. Players from varied states competed. The facilities had been nice and the hospitality was great."
