What's The Reason? Item Upgrade Is Everywhere This Year

Upgrades can sometimes increase the power of a piece of gear and sometimes even its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random augmentations applied.

The racial Shield elite Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption function in PvP, and/or to provide additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the original version that is not upgraded.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens are a way to reroll an acquired item like armor, weapon, or ring. This allows you to swap the item for another of the same type with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective method of upgrading gear. However, they don't retain the same level as the original item and any resources that are wasted will not be refunded.

The surviving players can acquire reroll tokens in several ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be located in crates and chests or purchased from the market for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to change the attributes of a piece of equipment that could include increasing its damage or granting it a new stat.

Players can reroll their equipment in three categories: physical power, magic power and health. Upgrades to physical power can increase damage from weapons and melee attack and spell power boost mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades give players an additional level of health.

Three types of rerolls tokens are available: upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each upgrade elevates an item to a higher quality and requires an upgraded reroll token in order to produce it. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, while rare upgrades require a special or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

As opposed to other tokens or markers that are placed on Action spaces, the reroll marker remains on the space until the next Success result is rerolled. This is a way to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.

Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and can be opened by grabbing them with Interact. Once they're opened, they display a full description and the icon of the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for new appliance or ingredient in the restaurant's shop for a small amount of money.

In the end, you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool when you run. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop offers for rerolls, and also those that are in the non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve weapons, armor and other accessories. These are special stones that can increase the quality of an item upgrading by increasing its stats and attributes. Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. These stones can also be obtained by players who have completed daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment players must first locate the appropriate item and then click the "level up" button. The menu will appear showing the item's current level and what it will be when being upgraded, along with the required amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires one Growth Stone.

Once they have decided on the upgrade, players need to select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to utilize and pay the appropriate cost. When the requirements have been satisfied, the user can select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a certain percentage. The process of upgrading can last from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.

The upgrade process is also risk-free and doesn't affect the item's durability. This makes the system an ideal way for players to get a significant advantage in combat without straining their accounts. Clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded item to a new piece of gear.

The process of acquiring Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be daunting for novice players. However, there are numerous methods to obtain them, including signing contracts and buying them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from the reward chests that are available during the Ancient Arena season. In addition players can break down the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.

Leveling

Leveling is an option that lets you increase the stats of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets as well as helms. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials and pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will consume upgrade components and grant the item a higher level, granting the item an additional boost in that area. The process will continue until the item reaches its highest level.

Items with upgraded base stats display a blue icon in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments cannot be added to more than one item at the same time. Furthermore each upgrade component will require a specific quantity of items to be used in addition to a minimum amount for the equipment.

The Upgrade Station has two slots: the first is where players can add equipment that needs that they wish to upgrade, and the right slot shows a preview of what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow once the player has enough materials will start the upgrading process.

A piece of gear can be upgraded up to five times. Each time the item is upgraded, its stats will increase by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.

Once an item reaches the maximum level, its upgrades are no longer available to it. Once a piece of equipment is upgraded to a certain track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades for that track will have discounts.

Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be inserted into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to provide an added bonus or effect while the equipment is equipped. They can be bought from vendors, looted or obtained through quests or exchanged between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so will damage the previous upgrade, except for glyphs which can be removed and replaced at will.

Requirements

Upgrades can boost the Mark Level or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components have additional modifiers which can further improve the item's stats.

For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense, and also provides an additional 20% chance of blocking. The DPS "Wildfire", on the other hand, increases weapon damage.

Upgrades can be beneficial to some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players when they get the perfect roll. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for example is highly coveted by melee PvP communities and could be worth up to 20-50 times the non-upp’d version.

The game will display the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. The game will show the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.

Once you've satisfied the requirements for an upgrade the game will put the item in your inventory and the progress bar will change to show how close to completing it. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any upgrader NPC for the item upgrade you want to upgrade.
